At Gadsden/Etowah County Head Start/Early Head Start, we provide a comprehensive range of services designed to support the whole child and empower families. Our programs are free of charge and serve children from birth to five years old, including expectant families. We are committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education that lays a strong foundation for school readiness and lifelong learning.
In addition to educational services, we offer health and developmental screenings, nutritious meals, and daily routines that promote social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our classrooms follow research-based curricula and are staffed by qualified teachers who create nurturing, inclusive environments where every child can thrive. We also provide support for children with disabilities and developmental delays, ensuring that all children receive individualized attention and care.
Our commitment extends beyond the classroom. We work closely with families to support their goals through parent education, family engagement activities, and referrals to community resources. Our family advocates and home visitors partner with caregivers to strengthen parenting skills, promote family well-being, and encourage active involvement in their child’s learning. At Gadsden/Etowah County Head Start/Early Head Start, we believe in building strong, healthy families and communities—one child at a time.
